The Lucky Cookie Company was formed in 2004, but the mastermind behind this concept thought of the Mexican fortune cookie, our Lucky Taco, while visiting a trade show in Las Vegas in 1994. He went out to eat at a Mexican restaurant with some colleagues, and after quite a few margaritas and an excellent dinner, he said, "We are missing something here! What we are missing is a Mexican fortune cookie.” They all just looked at him and laughed. So, as you can see it took quite a few years for him to get around to taking on this challenge. Even though he had talked about starting up this company for years, it wasn’t until a dinner party in 2004 that he really started thinking seriously about the future of his idea. While sitting around the dinner table with friends, they all got to talking about life goals they had yet to achieve. When it came time for him to share his thoughts he said, “I want to start a cookie factory and make Mexican fortune cookies and call them Lucky Tacos.” They were all amazed at how great of an idea it was. Little did they know, that was the last push he needed to acquire the motivation it would take to get started. Soon after the Lucky Taco brand was born.

His first step included the leasing of a small building, located in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. He then purchased a few small rotary style fortune cookie machines, but soon found out he was on to something much larger than he initially thought and would need higher production machines. After purchasing more equipment, he found that the company would require a larger facility. This leads us to our current location, which is located in Hustisford ,Wisconsin. In the process of expanding The Lucky Taco brand, the founder of the company discovered his entrepreneurial instincts which led him to the ideas of the Lucky Cruncher Cookie( coffee house cookie), and the Lucky Cannoli (Coming Soon) available late 2009. Adding the other two lines of cookies has created what we are today, The Lucky Cookie Company.

It has been a long journey from the start of this company to where we are today, but it has been a fun ride. We have built a great team of people and we are growing at a great pace, and working to create more fun positions as we grow. Our goal is to distribute our products throughout the U.S. and also internationally. Our products will be found in Mexican and Italian restaurants, coffee houses, party stores, grocery store deli departments, convenient stores, and anywhere else we see an opportunity. And as far as our company motto goes,   WE MAKE FUN TASTE GOOD!
